10 Taylor Swift Songs I Listened to During My 10k

Completing a workout can be so hard, especially completing workouts on a regular basis to actually see progress on your fitness goals.

Forget completing multiple workouts per week, I find it difficult to just complete a singular workout! I was failing to complete my workouts which turned into not working out at all during the week. Until I finally found the secret to keep you going during a workout, and I’m here to share it with you!


The secret is… MUSIC! Okay, that’s not really a secret but finding the right music to push through a full workout is key. If you complete a workout and you survive, you can complete another one a day or two later in the same way!


I am sharing 10 songs with you that helped me maintain a weekly exercise routine that led to weight loss and a more toned body!


Okay, so the truth is, I was never into running before I gave it a try in 2022. I HATED running. It was a really big commitment for me when I finally decided to run. My partner has completed a few marathons and always seemed to love the feeling after a run. So to help my wellness goals along, I decided I would start with 1 or 2 miles about 2-3 times per week and work my way up to 3 mile runs. I ran like this intermittently for a year before I started being more consistent and started actually liking it.

During the first few weeks that I ran, I took note of when I felt good while doing my 3 mile runs. What did I eat, what did I do, what time of day was it, what music kept me going when I was feeling tired and sore. That kind of thing. Well, I found that while the other things were important factors, the music was the most important.

Fast forward to the start of 2023: I had originally planned to participate in a 5k but ended up seeing a fun women’s only 10k hosted by Kaiser Permanente while browsing online one day. I signed up right away to motivate myself to continue running, so obviously I had to come up with an amazing playlist to get me through the 6.2miles! However, it ended up just being me listening to my favorite artist, Taylor Swift.


So without further ado, here are the T Swizzle songs that got me through a 10k run:

I have been listening to Taylor Swift’s music since I saw her debut album CD cover at my local Borders when I was 12. So I am a huge Taylor Swift fan and even the slow songs kept me going during my 10k! And guess what! Listening to my favorite Taylor Swift songs gets me through my running to this day!

This can be you too! If you have music that is upbeat or is just so good that you listen to it over and over again, then try it out during your next workout!

I do have a playlist with upbeat songs from various artists that I actually created while doing Cassey Ho’s PIIT28 program. It just never occurred to me that I may need to have a certain kind of music or song for each type of exercise to get me through the hard parts.


So whether you’re running, doing pilates or yoga, weight lifting, or some other form of exercise, put the right music on that works for you and I promise it will help you get through your workout!
